OUTSTANDING SUCCESS OF ANNE-MARIE’S STUDENTS

Cuan Durkin invited by Navy Exchange (USA) to perform a medley of songs at a #JamsForFreedom virtual concert (2nd July 2021) and subsequent Christmas concert #WeBelieveHoliday virtual concert (19th December 2021).  He also performed in the UK the part of Prince Charming in Cinderella (December 2020) alongside Harry Potter star Chris Rankin, after being spotted by an agent as “Dublin busker lands leading role in online panto” (RTE News).  As a rising star on social media, numerous vocal engagements followed as well as in person television interviews in the USA.

My students have won virtually all the junior vocal competitions under 19 at the prestigious Dublin Feis Ceoil for solo singing and duets, with a total of TWENTY First Prizes*.

Television appearances on RTÉ and TG4 in solo singing include: RTÉ’s New Year’s Eve Countdown Show (2020/2021), The Today Show (2020), RTÉ’s Six One News and RTÉ News: Nine O’Clock (2020), Junior Eurovision (2020), Realta Agus Gaolta (2020), The Late Late Toy Show (2019) and (2015), Service on Sunday (2015), Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann (2015) and Elev8 (2011).

Radio performances in solo singing includes RTÉ Lyric FM Classical Daytime and RTÉ 1 Countrywide – Special Christmas Edition (2011)

Multiple solo performances from The Snowman (Blake) at the National Concert Hall Dublin, University of Limerick Concert Hall and Bord Gáis Energy Theatre Dublin (2010 – 2013).

Consistent top marks in leaving-certificate and junior-certificate music state examinations (practical and written).

Students invited by Dublin Feis Ceoil to perform two vocal duets at the National Concert Hall Dublin, which showcase recent winners as part of the Electric Ireland Feis Ceoil Young Platform Series (2017).

Students performed for Presidents Mary McAleese and Bill Clinton.

Consistent high marks in Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) and Associated Board to the Royal Schools of Music (AB) vocal, piano and theory examinations.

Multiple High-Achiever Awards given to students obtaining Distinction in their Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) examinations and subsequent performances at the High-Achiever Gala Concerts at provincial and national level.

Leading roles performed locally in the following musicals: Guys ‘n Dolls, Hairspray, Annie, Chicago, Oliver, The Wizard of Oz, Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, Suisical the Musical, Les Miserables, West Side Story, Cats, Oklahoma, The King & I, Grease, The Sound of Music, My Fair Lady and Show Boat.

Multiple First Prize Winners at Feis Shligigh and Sligo Feis Ceoil for solo singing and duets.

Students have taken part in the Irish Youth Choir summer concerts.

Anne-Marie successfully prepared students for university entrance examinations in music (practical and written).  Many of her students went on to study music at Trinity College Dublin, NUI Maynooth, University College Cork, University of Limerick, Dublin City University, CIT Cork School of Music, Royal Irish Academy of Music Dublin, TU Dublin Conservatoire, Queens University Belfast and Guildhall School of Music and Drama London.
